The Office of Institutional Advancement is pleased to announce the following scholarship opportunities for students planning to graduate from Community College of Philadelphia in May 2008: The Thomas W. Langfitt, Jr. Memorial Award for Volunteer Community Leadership will provide one scholarship award of up to $1,000 to assist a student in pursuing his/her educational goals. Applicants must be full-time students who will graduate with an associate degree in May 2008. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0. Deadline: Monday, February 25, 2008. The College Scholarship for Academic Excellence provides a maximum annual award of $1,500 to a graduating student who will continue his/her education at a baccalaureate institution. Recipient must be planning to begin studies a four-year college or university in fall 2008. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.80. Deadline: Monday, February 25, 2008. The Jane S. Abrahams Award for Excellence provides one $1,000 scholarship annually to an academically outstanding graduating student receiving an associate degree. Applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.80. Deadline: Monday, March 10, 2008. Thank you for helping to promote theses scholarship opportunities to our students.
