Subject:   Scholarship opportunities for May 2008 graduates! 

The Office of Institutional Advancement is pleased to announce the following scholarship
 opportunities for students planning to graduate from Community College of Philadelphia in May 2008: 

The Thomas W. Langfitt, Jr. Memorial Award for Volunteer Community Leadership will provide
 one scholarship award of up to $1,000 to assist a student in pursuing his/her educational
 goals. Applicants must be full-time students who will graduate with an associate degree in
 May 2008. Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0.  
Deadline: Monday, February 25, 2008.

The College Scholarship for Academic Excellence provides a maximum annual award of $1,500
 to a graduating student who will continue his/her education at a baccalaureate institution.
 Recipient must be planning to begin studies a four-year college or university in fall 2008.
 Applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.80. Deadline: Monday, February 25, 2008.

The Jane S. Abrahams Award for Excellence provides one $1,000 scholarship annually to an
 academically outstanding graduating student receiving an associate degree. Applicant must
 have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.80. Deadline: Monday, March 10, 2008.
